This place is great! Really, really good food and exceptionally friendly service and all for a super reasonable price! Can&#39;t wait to go back and try some more of the menu.

Mi Cocina Es Tuya

This place is a hidden gem in plain sight. The curry goat, shell-on prawns, ackee &amp; salt fish and callaloo are consistently excellent🤌🏿The cocktails are very strong too - definitely worth the happy hour and if there&rsquo;s a Fork discount, it makes the food even sweeter!

The restaurant never disappoints - except when you can&#39;t get a table - so always book even for two people. Bring your own - but they also serve their own beer. Salt and pepper squid, beef carpaccio and the pork Bun Vermicelli are my absolute favs. Such good food at such an affordable price. Staff are lovely too. Only thing I would say is get better lighting - a bit more ambience for the evening would make it even better.

We were very pleased with our visit to the Gurkha Cottage. The menu had some familiar dishes but plenty of unusuals to try. We had the Lamb momos and Prawn puri followed by the staff curry and the five treasures chicken, with a keema nan and coconut rice. The food was excellent with good sized portions. The service was well timed. The staff were very friendly but not pushy. My only slight niggle is the 10% discretionary service charge added to the bill. But we will certainly return on our next visit to London

I have never considered Venezuela as a foodie haven. While Peruvian food is the new kid on the block and Brazilian and Argentine restaurants are well established throughout London Mi Cocina Es Tuya is the capital&#39;s first Venezuelan outpost. Surely with food this tasty it will not be the last. The owners acknowledge this and offer a handy guide to the local cuisine. This allowed us to navigate the menu with ease. It prompted us to try a range of dishes. The corn breads with white cheese are divine as are the empanadas. In fact there was nothing we tried we did not like. The coffee was also delicious. Bitter and sweet all at once. The service was quick, helpful and impossibly welcoming. The owners are immensely proud and go to great lengths to demonstrate their heritage. They should be. This South American outpost in Crystal Palace is worth the 20 minute journey from Central London.

Each time my friend and I meet up we like to try new places to eat and I am very happy we stopped at Mi Cocina Es Tuya for dinner. We were greeted by big smiles and friendly service. We had never eaten Venezuelan cuisine before therefore advice on both starter and main course selection was welcomed when the waitress pointed out her favourites. We ate a selection of mini arepas filled with meat and cheese followed by rich &amp; succulent main dishes of slow cooked beef &amp; pork served with the traditional sides of white rice, black beans and plantain. We also managed to find some space for Churros &amp; hot chocolate dipping sauce. All in all a fabulous feast of authentic Venezuelan cuisine washed down with Polar lager which was an added surprise!

Three of us (including a 13 year old) dropped in for Saturday brunch. We enjoyed Arepas, and Tostones, served with fresh fruit smoothies (Guava and Guanabana - made with Soursop). These were very refreshing. We finished with fresh Churos with chocolate dipping sauce. This worked out at about &pound;15 per head for food and drinks. The Arepas were filling, the guacamole very garlicy, and the chilli dip was spicy. The waiter/owner handed us a useful guide to the various dishes as well as the menus.
